The goal of this kitchen remodel was to open up the space and refresh it with a modern European style. We streamlined the peninsula, centering the sink on the range and removing the pinch-point between the fridge and the original L-shaped peninsula. I designed the custom range hood with custom corbels that were attached to the hood box and coated with smooth plaster. With the elegant curves of the hood, the soft, warm neutral Wellborn cabinetry, brass hardware, and integrated appliances, the design created a refined yet inviting atmosphere. The use of open wood shelving, warm lighting, a luxurious mitered-edge quartz application, and a La Cornue-style range adds a touch of old-world charm while maintaining a contemporary feel.
